Turn something on your desk over. Is it made in China? I bet at least one thing there is. Hopefully, your drywall isn’t. There have been over 180 claims made in Florida to date accusing Chinese drywall manufacturers of supplying drywall with high contents of Sulfur. As a result, if you renovated or built a home in Florida between 2005 and 2006, that rotten egg smell may just be something other than your husband. The facts state that post hurricane production rose so sharply that Florida had a drywall shortage. Basically, developers and material suppliers searched for the cheapest solution and it happened to be China. It reminds me of the old adage: “You get what you pay for.”
