I have always felt that the construction/home industry has been behind the curb as far as technology and innovations go. The last few years have seen improvements. We now have plastic decking that is recycled and maintenance free. We have great paints that have no VOC’s. We have innovative insulation methods. However, high end electronics are still utilized mostly by rich homeowners.
I lose keys constantly. Customers give them to me for temporary access and they are guaranteed to be misplaced. There is new biometric technology that allows us to use our unique fingerprint to gain access to our homes. Think about how much more secure this is when compared to keys. We don’t have to worry about our kids losing their keys and being stranded. We can program the keypad to allow temporary access to people. Keyless lock technology will be installed in every house I own from now on.
